Our Community Engagement Policy at KHD Fluorite is centered on the principle of “Partnership for Progress.” We believe that sustainable development is only possible when all stakeholders, including the local community, are actively engaged and invested in the project.
To this end, we have established a Community Engagement Team, whose mandate is to establish and maintain open and transparent communication channels with the local community. The team is responsible for engaging with community leaders, representatives, and members to understand their needs, concerns, and expectations, and to provide them with accurate and timely information about the project.
We also have a Community Development Fund, which is dedicated to financing projects that align with the needs and priorities of the local community. The fund is managed by a Community Development Committee, which is composed of representatives from the local community and the company.
We understand that the local community is the custodian of the land and resources, and we are committed to preserving their rights and interests. We believe that by working in partnership with the community, we can create a shared vision for sustainable development that benefits everyone.
We also have policies in place for Safety, Health and Environmental Protection, and have established a Health and Safety Committee to ensure compliance with the highest standards of HSE in all our operations.
Our community engagement is not limited to just the host communities, but extends to the surrounding communities and even to the rest of the country in terms of socio-economic contribution.
